World Book Day 2019

World Book Day started with a whole school assembly where two representatives from the local firm Helistrat donated £500 worth of books for our school. Thank you so much for this incredible gift - the books will be distributed into all classes and the non-fiction books into our library.

The theme for World Book Day 2019 was poetry. All classes had less than a week to learn, off by heart, a poem. They then performed these to the whole school - a really different and enjoyable way to begin the day.
